Fast friendly service and tasty food

I gave a 5 star rating because I love the food, especially the Philly cheese steak sandwiches, hot beef with mashed potatoes and gravy is really good. Food is very well priced. It is very clean and Spanish, I would definitely recommend anyone to come here.

Great food...had breakfast..chicken fried steak was as good ad I've ever had. Service was excellent. Nice people.

Had brunch today. Food was good. Service was tolerable. The notable incident was when a local business owner asked about the wifi password, was told by the waitress and a gentleman who was a cook that they didn't know what it was and the owner only knew it. He walked away and they proceeded to talk about the situation and him in a pettyWhile he was still In the restaurant!Mortifying to think if a business owner can get that treatment, what is said about the common person after their meal?

Service was great. Waitress was attentive. I had the Reuben sandwich with fries. It came in marbled rye and was grilled to perfection.

On the way to Galena, IL my fiancee and I were looking for a filling breakfast and settled on Larry's Place. The place is unassuming. Your usual fare is offered. I had the 4 egg omelette and it was very good and the hash browns we're perfectly cooked. My fiancee had a skillet and said it was the best she ever had. No hyperbole. If you are looking for good food, fast and friendly service this is definitely the place.

Great place for a reasonable priced meal with great and friendly waitresses.

We had a large crowd and only one waitress. SHE DID OUTSTANDING!!! The meal came a LOT faster than anyone thought and was delicious. Every person involved should be proud of their own skills. Definitely will eat there again!!

Nostalgic mom and pop cafe indicative of small town Iowa. Larry's offers above average food and good service with very good prices. The menu offers an above average number of thoughtful dishes along with all the staples common to small town diners. My self and my family always like this place. We often end up here when something brings us to town or near by. Jones County is an awsome place to visit, Anamosa is one of the must sees. If your in the area Larry's is the go to for good food.

My family stopped in for lunch on a day long shopping trip. Larry's Place was an unexpected part of our day. You can tell it's well loved by the regulars, the staff was great, and we all loved our food.

Family owned small town Diner... All American food clean and very good service.

I like my sandwich! I had a chicken salad sandwich with fruit for the side. It was $9 for this. That seems pricey to me!

A good place to eat

Sat down for 10 minutes and didnt even get acknowledged. There were several waitresses 1 of which stood chatting with the table next to us for 5 mins and walked away and never came back. Walked out and will never go back. Even messaged them about this on their FB they read it and never responded.

Good food and good service. Very reasonable prices for the amount of food you get. You actually get full and don't have to spend a lot.

Good home style diner. Don't let the ambiance keep you away! We had a very filling & tasty breakfast. The staff even provided the details about Theatre Cedar Rapids latest show when they heard us discussing it. Everyone was attentive. It is clean but showing its age.

They have a very good menu and the portions are abundant. The three salad plate is not only hearty but delicious. Price is good and the service is always fast and friendly.

I've eaten here many times. I love it. I always go for the chicken wraps. Their soup is also very good. Staff is friendly and the restaurant has many regulars.

Nice little hometown dinner that has good food for pretty cheap. The grilled walleye was very good

Denver Omelette sandwich was filling and didn't take long to prepare. The service was quick and waitress pleasant. The interior is dated but clean.

Food is excellent and so is the staff. The food is steaming hot and you get generous portions!

Excellent place to stop,on main street,great waitress, food was well cooked also,prices will bring us back for a second,third,forth visits and looking forward to see staff again..the only down fall was no card reader it's either cash or check with phone number on it

Every time I've been here it's been a pretty good experience, there's usually a quiet environment and good food. I'd recommend the strawberry pancakes.

The wait staff were very nice & attentive. Food was ok. Beef noodle soup was the best part of the meal. We both had ham steak dinners. It was a can ham not off the bone. Kinda fatty. Soup & ice cream came with the meal. They do serve breakfast all day.

Excellent food and service. Walked in with a large group and we were taken very good care of. Only thing I would say is bathroom facilities could use some attention.

Have ate here several times over the years... obviously there was a gap with the dreaded Covid! I love that you can get breakfast all day & and it's great food! I ordered the walleye to go tonight...4 large portions plus taters and soup/salad! Yummy!💛🌿✌️

Good food nice relaxing place to eat

Good server-quick service-always handy with the coffee pot. This is a nice 'hometown' type restaurant-not big city. Update - absolute opposite experience today. Slow service-cold food-had to ask for water twice-had to ask for silverware-bill was not correct however the waitress wanted to argue not correct the bill. Saw her once with the coffee pot-there were only two other customers so can't contribute these complaints to the waitress being swamped. Disappointing
